Role Summary

The Western Canada division of Pario Engineering and Environmental Sciences LP is a niche environmental science and remediation consulting firm seeking an Environmental Project Manager to join our team in Alberta.

disciplined firm represented in additional offices across Atlantic Canada, Quebec, Ontario and Western Canada.


The potential candidate is responsible for the project management of spill response and remediation projects, local business development activities including developing and nurturing client relationships.

The project management role includes but is not limited to :

  • Emergency response through an established on call schedule
  • Site assessment and management of remediation projects
  • Management of sub-contractors, development of budgets and cost control
  • Field sampling
  • Regulatory reporting
  • Client correspondence and reporting
  • Education, knowledge and experience required

  • Diploma or degree in environmental science, engineering, geology, soil science or equivalent;
  • Industry experience of 5-10 years of conducting contaminated site investigations and spill response / remediation projects;
  • Insurance Industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience in Provincial contaminated sites legislation, regulations and processes; Alberta and British Columbia
  • A proven ability to prepare comprehensive technical reports and a personable attitude are requirements for these positions.
  • Strong supervisory experience with client relations, auditing, environmental due diligence and risk assessment would be a definite asses.
  • Strong written and oral communication in English.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
