Intelligent Workplace Services (IWS) Consultant : Role Profile

The Intelligent Workplace Services Consultant (IWS Consultant) will be responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities with non-Xerox customers as well as expanding Intelligent Workplace Services, inclusive of Managed Print Services (MPS) and Capture and Content Services (C&CS) to grow revenue within an existing client base leveraging the Intelligent Workplace Services toolset.

They will identify, develop, and communicate a strategy that links into client drivers to drive efficiencies in their document processes.

They are responsible for building a strong pipeline of opportunities and driving results through others.

Major responsibilities of the IWS Consultant include :

  • Achieves Revenue and Profit targets for assigned territory.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for MPS and C&CS sales cycles.
  • Communicates and inspects on field execution of MPS and C&CS related marketing programs.
  • Consults (as required) with Sales Executives to effectively perform MPS sales cycles with
  • Applies a consultative approach to analyzing customer requirements, activity levels and related print costs.
  • Strategizes with sales teams to assist them with meeting their target.
  • Maintains sustained sales activities for deals >
  • 15 units - leads high impact calls such as MPS / C&CS Presentations, Assessments, Validation Meetings, Proposals and Closing Calls.

  • Develops comprehensive proposals that include floor plans, workflow processes, current costs and recommended future state.
  • Utilizes Xerox Print Services Assessment tools (XDA, Asset DB, XPSST, XRM, etc ).
  • Implements programs to build and maintain adequate Pipeline.
  • Keeps abreast of existing and changing technologies to apply to recommended solutions.
  • Facilitates the contracting and implementation of Managed Print contracts.
  • Represents the sales function, ensuring company values and pricing and sales policies are adhered to and sales goals are achieved.
  • Generates innovative ideas, challenges current thinking and achieves buy in from stakeholders in the development of new offerings.
  • Supports Marketing with market knowledge to develop new and / or improve existing service offerings.
  • Develops initial financial analysis of solutions to demonstrate compelling financial rationales for the client and Xerox.
  • Qualifications

    Required Skills / Qualifications :

    Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 5 years sales experience
  • Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Ability to lead opportunities to qualification and successful closure
  • Is proficient at building a compelling business results story and delivering the Xerox conceptual presentation
  • Demonstrated project / program management skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of workflow process and software capabilities for process automation
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in applying appropriate sales and account management processes & tools
  • IT Competency, comfortable to engage with IT Executives
  • Strong relationship building, interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills, and the ability to manage objections effectively
  • Resilient and able to deal with challenging situations in a positive manner
  • Ability to work well and develop others
  • Experience in financial value proposition, business case and financial modeling skills
