Manage the Non-Dairy Ingredients Category purchase (worth 40 M$), in line with a long term sourcing strategy which he / she will define in alignment with business requirements;
Achieve savings in the order of 3% to 5% per year in the category (total for Canada and the US) by negotiating, switching suppliers or reformulating / optimizing specifications for raw material supply for the 40 Agropur plants;
Working with R&D, suggest and implement value-in projects that will increase sales through innovation by suppliers, with full case studies demonstrating the increase in sales, EBITDA and capital expenditures;
To ensure business continuity, develop risk management strategies for the category in collaboration with the relevant departments.
Monitor global market trends that affect ingredient prices and make recommendations accordingly;
Manage and develop key suppliers using Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) tools;
Summarize and explain complex problems for different audiences.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Master is an asset)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in strategic sourcing or other relevant technical field, including 2 years in category management in multinational company.
Strong business acumen
Ability to be hands on operationally as well as building a long term strategic vision
Excellent command of spoken and written English and French
