Our client is one of North America’s leading Integrated Oil Companies. They have an immediate need for a Technical Facilitator to join their team for an eleven (11) month contract opportunity in their Lloydminster office.

The Technical Facilitator will be providing technical support and project management to the Lloydminster Heavy Oil and Gas, Thermal, Maintenance Ready for Operations (M-

RFO) team. This position reports to the M-RFO team lead.

The M-RFO process establishes proactive maintenance programs in step with Thermal and Raw Water capital project execution.

The scope of the M-RFO team is expanding to include existing thermal facilities.

  • Core Responsibilities :

    1. Facilitate the execution of the M-RFO projects and deliverables

  • Participate in front end project development and execution and communicate M-RFO requirements
  • Liaise with various project stakeholders and departments
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop and communicate project documents and M-RFO deliverables
  • Facilitate M-RFO project execution : SAP asset hierarchy creation Asset criticality analysis and criticality ranking assignment in SAP Maintenance plans and task lists creation Evaluation of a critical spares and stocking level determination Development and assignment of material masters in SAP
  • 2. Facilitate and manage M-RFO team meetings and reporting

  • Develop and maintain project schedules
  • Project tracking, action tracking, reporting
  • Track, audit and report M-RFO metrics
  • 3. Ensure processes are carried out effectively and drive continuous improvement

  • Manage and maintain M-RFO documentation and procedures
  • Manage M-RFO team information in SharePoint and HDMS
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop new and modify existing procedures and work instructions
  • Must Haves :

  • Engineering Bachelor Degree or Technologist Diploma
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 year’s project management experience
  • Experience with MS Office Suite (emphasis on Excel), Project and VISIO
  • Nice to have :

  • Professional Engineer designation (or eligibility for designation) or Certified Engineering Technologist designation (or eligibility for designation)
  • Knowledge of : project execution process; design & construction practices thermal operations Operations and maintenance processes planning and maintenance work flows Experience with SAP, DM, HDMS, SharePoint Experience in procedure development Experience in giving presentations
