The Technical Publications Specialist is experienced in delivering S1000D solutions. They are responsible for contributing to the conceptual design, establishment of requirements, user training and execution.

They have worked in an Integrated Data Environment, are highly detailed and driven by data integrity.

Qualifications & Skills :

  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering Technology, Business, or another related field
  • 2-8+ years’ experience in the application of S1000D
  • Knowledge of S1000D Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals publishing standard
  • Proficient knowledge of military and commercial standards for IETMs, ILS, Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), Training, Maintenance Managemen
  • Expert knowledge of computer techniques and models for analysis, simulation or information systems and documentation
  • Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian government security clearances.
  • Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist in the creation of an S1000D solution at Fleetway which will involve contributing to the conceptual design, establishing requirements, solution selection, implementation, user training and Business Management Model (BMM) updates
  • Integrate the S1000D IETM solution with the Logistic Support Analysis Record (LSAR), Common Source Database (CSDB), Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Training System, as part of the overall Integrated Data Environment (IDE)
  • Establish and implement business-rules to ensure data-integrity between the IDE, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) databases and S1000D IETM
  • Create tools and queries which consolidate and report IDE, ILS, S1000D IETM information
  • Design S1000D IETMs following established publishing methodology
