The Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese (the CISVA) operates 46 schools 40 elementary and 6 high schools.

St. Augustine School in Kitsilano is hiring a Grade 1 Teacher starting in September 2022. This is a full-time position for the entire academic year.
Candidates will have a background in primary teaching, preferrably Grade 1, and be willing and capable of working collaboratively with the teacher in our other Grade 1 class (we are a double-stream school), Education Assistants, parents, and their fellow teachers and staff members.
The successful candidate will be faith-filled, passionate about teaching, engaging, a team player, willing to assist with the extra-curricular program of the school and be involved in school life.
Support in the extracurricular areas of fine arts and music, in partciular, is neeed at the school. It is an asset to have a proficiency in technology and, in particular, the use of SeeSaw in your teaching.
A background and training in early literacy is a must. Futhermore, because a school growth goal is to review its Safe Schools program, specifically around social emotional leanring, conflict resolution, and restorative justice, it would be an asst also for the successful candidate to have some background in these areas.

On an on-going basis, we accept teacher applications for grade levels K to 12 for our Catholic schools throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and Powell River in beautiful British Columbia.
All Catholics, non-Catholics, new education grads, and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply.
