THE CHALLENGE Are you a storyteller? The Lever marketing team is looking for a hands-on, experienced, and enthusiastic Content Marketer who can oversee the creation and execution of our content process, production, creation, and measurement.
This role will ensure strategic alignment that supports the full GTM motion for Lever (Sales, Marketing, and Customer Experience).
THE OPPORTUNITY This is an excellent opportunity for a utility player who has various experience and interests to work across many mediums, including digital, print, events, direct marketing, product details, website, and more.
Ideally, you’d be passionate about people technology and have a keen interest in working in a fast-growing technology company like Lever.
THE SKILL SET
3-5 years of digital copywriting, content marketing experience, success and marketing in a B2B tech environment, preferably SaaS.
You understand good copy comes from data and research, not just creative thinking.
You're versatile. You love writing all the things. You're comfortable leading and collaborating with others to define goals, strategies, and key messages.
You have a strong point of view about brand voice and are excited to help shape ours.
You have a growth mindset, a great attitude, and care about the success of your team, partners, and the company.
You have experience distilling complex technology products and features into simple, compelling, easy-to-understand copy.
You have experience writing for B2B audiences at all levels and functions.
Email and Newsletter copywriting and segmentation.
Expert knowledge of SEO copywriting for the website (product, blogs, resources, solution and customer pages).
Able to narrate a story through website copywriting.
Always up-to-date on upcoming changes that impact SEO.
General understanding of backlinking best practices.
Familiarity with platforms such as Ahrefs, Moz, Brightedge, Majestic, WebCEO.
Writes website copy, emails, ads, and possibly content like ebooks and blog posts. Might also help strategize what needs to be written, particularly if they are experienced.
Typically used for copywriting work that will only be for converting traffic, not for educating, attracting, or entertaining.
Familiarity with platforms such as Ahrefs, Moz, Brightedge or like products.
Innovative ideas and thoughts for where content marketing will go in the future.
Team player with a hands on attitude; loves working with people and building relationships.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Bonus points if you have experience using Asana.

WITHIN 3 MONTHS, YOU’LL
Review the website to understand current product copy existing, familiar with the help centre and start to build out additional content on the website to ensure that there is full functionality and features that are a priority are listed.
Author direct marketing schedule with Demand Generation to leverage best practices to create emails that convert both internal and external, based on marketing and product themes.
Support and work cross-functionally to create content that contributes to product launches.
Review content audit to determine optimization tests, and more.
Able to blend the art of copywriting with the science of psychology, customer research, data analysis, and persuasive techniques to write words that sell and leverage these abilities to help across GTM to leverage sales and CS outreach.
Maintain marketing flight calendar with quarterly projects kick-off, update, and completion date.
Stakeholder for the upcoming Lever marquee events to manage promotions to drive conversions
WITHIN 6 MONTHS, YOU’LL
Work cross functionally with Product, Sales, Enablement, Marketing and CS to ensure we are properly creating a balanced content approach (Campaigns, Thought Leadership, Product Support, and Website / Blog).
Work closely with project owners to align your copy ideas / suggestions with quarterly business objectives.
Coordinate with design resources for consistent imagery development and / or selection
Tech-savvy and comfortable with digital marketing, social media, email marketing, mobile, UX, and SEO.
Proven ability to optimize and improve content through A / B tests and other conversion optimization strategies.
Explore content marketing tech to further sales results and drive leads down the content marketing funnel.
Continue to support, contribute to the editorial calendar, delegate tasks and ensure content deadlines are met.
Deliver engaging content on a regular basis and inspire team members.
Content Stakeholder for Customer Conference and promotion as part of the team to deliver a fantastic experience and engagement.
Develop storyboards for upcoming product or customer videos.
Architect outlines / wireframes for ideas and hypotheses for testing to improve conversion rates and in product.
Manage ambiguity effectively, and influence the direction of your projects by identifying and defining new opportunities.
PPC ads Iterate copy for multiple audiences, all stages of brand and solution awareness, and formats.
Possess an understanding of SEO and leverage industry and keyword research to inform campaign concepts and copy.
Collect performance data to test and measure the impact of copy and transform insights into improved conversion rates.
Monitor competitor and industry campaigns, identifying messaging and industry best practices, and share new opportunities with your team.
WITHIN 12 MONTHS, YOU’LL
Analyze web traffic metrics and contribute ideas to improve copywriting and SEO results on the website.
Optimize all content marketing initiatives to improve SEO metrics.
Conduct writing workshops for Sales and CS to learn writing tips that drive engagement and conversion.
Co-drive the content SEO strategy with web for FY23 - Super Day Planning.
Establish and support the content planning strategy and identify expansion opportunities for FY23 - Super Day Planning.
Assess what worked and what didn’t work with an assessment for next fiscal year planning - create a strategy for next fiscal year.
Establish content best practices and ensure that it is documented and shared broadly throughout the team (and cross functional teams).
Serve as a Editorial / Writing Consultant for other teams (Demand Gen, Product, and Sales).
Manage multiple medium to large-scale projects independently, working cross-functionally with partners to define goals and deliver appropriate solutions.
