Your primary responsibilities will include :

  • Bookkeeping from client supplied records
  • Preparing payroll and related filings
  • Preparing HST returns
  • Providing assistance and support to clients on bookkeeping and / or software issues
  • A successful candidate will have :

  • Computer skills including Excel, Sage50, Quickbooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online. Experience with Caseware would be an asset.
  • Minimum of two years of accounting experience with a small to mid-size business or professional firm would be preferred.
  • Experience with payroll including taxable benefits and required remittances.
  • Experience in the completion of HST returns.
  • Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of a client-focused environment including related deadlines and the ability to work to meet those deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
