Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Project Coordinator Co-op to join the Solarfective Team in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada .
As junior project coordinator you will work closely with the project management team on roller shade projects located throughout southern Ontario, typically in the GTA.
You will assist the project managers on the day to day tasks required to complete projects. These tasks include reconciliation of drawings, worksheets and orders.
You will also assist in coordination of product in the production facility to ensure that production and installation teams have the materials they need to complete their tasks.
There will be additional administrative tasks related to project management, dispatching, internal communications and customer communications.
What Will You Do?
Liaison with project managers, production and field service to meet project requirements and timelines
Provide daily updates with issues and delays that need to be addressed on a daily basis
Ensure effective control of projects : addressing conflicting priorities, issues, risks, dependencies and change
Communicate project details effectively to stakeholders and project teams, including : preparing technical reports, audits, and special reports.
In addition, providing daily and weekly progress reports as well as scheduling forecasts.
Co-ordinate job preparation for field service or shipping
Record keeping and file maintenance for all projects
Manage and book shipping / receiving appointments and organize transportation
Manage projects with follow up calls / emails
1st or 2nd year University Engineering students
Having worked in a manufacturing environment considered an asset
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities :
Ability to pull data from engineering drawings and drawing packages
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; professional presence and behavior
Demonstrated ability to quickly and proficiently understand and absorb new information
Proficient in the use of personal computers, internet and MS Office suite of software including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook (or related e-mail system)
Ability to work in a team environment, and leverage additional resources as needed
Comfortable in manufacturing plant environment
