Our client, is Canada's largest Marine Construction and Dredging contractor. They are seeking an enthusiastic Superintendent to work within the Construction team, specifically the Dredging division and grow this area of the business.
The company is privately owned with operations mainly in Western Canada and the Northwest Territories. Their versatile fleet of cutter suction and hopper dredges, spud barges, cranes, dump barges, flat scows and extensive list of support equipment is ready to complete all types and sizes of Marine Construction, Environmental Remediation, Dredging and Land Foundation projects.
Your new role
As Superintendent, you will be responsible for the supervision of all onsite personnel and ensuring the smooth running of the site.
You will be responsible for either overseeing all Marine / Dredging aspects of the project. Reporting directly into the construction manager, you will work with the Project Manager to ensure the project is kept on schedule and within budget.
Projects you will be responsible for, will be large dredging projects, including Dam Dredging, Perimeter Roads, Marine works etc.
What you'll need to succeed
The right candidate will have at least 5 years Civil Construction experience in Marine or Major Civil here in BC and hold a Diploma in Civil & Structural Technology or Degree in Engineering.
Strong computer skills are essential. You will have a strong understanding of Marine Construction.
