Company : Our client is committed to become a world video news agency, presenting China to the world as well as reporting the world to China.
Key responsibilities : Review scripts for accuracy, style, balance and conformity. Check source material and ensure scripts are ready for air.
Edit copy to ensure scripts are easy to understand, interesting, creative and compelling. Serve as a close adviser on editorial, grammar and news language issues.
Verify accuracy of all components of programs, including graphics and other editorial elements. Correctly format scripts and view video and graphics to ensure scripts and images are in sync.
Take a proactive and diplomatic role in many aspects of program preparation. Collaborate with other team members in order to help determine most creative and editorially accurate solutions.
Bachelor degree+ 2 years of relevant working experience after graduation or Master degree with journalism related major is a must(visa regulation).
Native speaker of English required. Requirements for Junior Editor position : 1-2 years of experience with strong editing skills which includes accuracy, balance, language and style in similar industries preferred.
Proven accomplished writer who thinks in visuals. Previous experience working overseas preferred. Extensive knowledge of current events, geopolitics and international relations, especially China and APAC countries.
Must be able to work irregular hours and work an extended schedule as the news cycle and deadlines require. Proficiency with desk-
top editing software a plus. Minimum requirements for Senior Editor position : 10 years of copy editing experience; Previous experience of working in China Ability to speak Chinese Familiar with Chinese culture
