The Tager Centre is home for 16 people on the Autistic spectrum.The building is split into four flats where 4 people live in each.
The environment is very homely but can be seen as sparse but overall this meets the needs of the people. Each flat hasa communal area and a separate dining room with a small kitchen to enable people we support to make their own snacks.
Bedrooms have an adjoining bathroom enabling people to have space and time, ensuring their rituals and routines are respected.
The people in Tager also benefit from a large activity garden that consists of raised beds to do their gardening and a summer house to relax in after spending time on the gym equipment.
Our people are supported on a 1 : 1 staffing ratio and two require 2 staff throughout their waking day and all people have a structured time table that offers a variety of activities.
It’s very important that staff working in Tager have some knowledge of Autism as well as working with those who have a learning disability.
Staff work 36hrs a week doing three long days, there is opportunities for overtime.
