Ubisoft Toronto is one of the most significant development studios within Ubisoft, employing talented developers worldwide.

We create worlds and tell stories that grip you, inspire you and challenge you. Since opening in 2010, we have shipped innovative game projects on Ubisoft's most prominent brands : Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Watch Dogs, For Honor and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell.

On being a Videographer / Editor at Ubisoft Toronto

Working directly with our Lead Video Editor and Creative Services team, the successful candidate is a solid visual communicator and excellent storyteller who wants to be part of a creative, dynamic, and innovative environment at Ubisoft Toronto.

You will have the creative prowess to bring life to a brief as vague as a reference point, as well as the confidence to enact the proposed structure of a detailed, time-coded script.

As a collaborator with both studio and game development teams, your shooting and editing will come together as videos for various platforms, including the studio's website, social media and live streams channels, the Ubisoft intranet, and more.

The daily life of a Videographer / Editor at Ubisoft Toronto

  • Demonstrate a creative approach to storytelling through an edit;
  • Liaise with various subject-matter experts to distill complex topics into compelling content opportunities;
  • Lead and execute video shoots with a keen eye for composition.
  • Be a partner to our communications, studio, production, and project teams to successfully develop and execute quality content;
  • Contribute creative solutions to partners' projects and implement suggestions from others;
  • Ensure Ubisoft and brand-specific style guide requirements are met for all videos;
  • Act on feedback from various and multiple stakeholders as needed;
  • Organize and archive footage across various sources for future projects;
  • Learn on the job while staying on top of the latest trends and techniques for video production;
  • Perform other related tasks as required.
  • What it takes to make it

  • 3+ years of professional editing and videography experience;
  • Demonstrated editing and shooting experience via portfolio;
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere;
  • A strong understanding of motion graphics fundamentals and the ability to create or manipulate projects in After Effects;
  • The ability to independently set up a 1- or 2-camera shoot with optimal lighting and audio in various settings;
  • Proficient with DSLR camera workflows;
  • Open to direction. accepts feedback and acts on it;
  • Able to work independently in both office and work from home environments;
  • Demonstrate creativity, originality, and resourcefulness when searching for solutions;
  • Able to bring a positive attitude and a desire to work collaboratively with colleagues;
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
