The Plant Manager’s principle objective is to optimize the return on investment from the Business Unit over the long term.

To achieve this objective, they are required to implement a long-term budgeting, operating and team building process.

The Plant Manager is responsible for achieving maximum performance of operation resources, and to develop and implement programs that promote the effective and efficient conversion of raw material to high quality finished wood products, while attaining high safety performance and employee morale.

Qualifications :

  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity where there is strong evidence of enhancing the performance of a complex operating facility;
  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing operation, continuous operations experience preferred;
  • In-depth knowledge of safety protocols, production, reliability centered maintenance, change management and continuous improvement;
  • An effective team builder and change leader who inspires others to embrace change and perform at enhanced levels;
  • Results and performance focused, motivated toward achieving corporate objective and targets through own actions and those of the team;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborates easily with others;
  • A post-secondary degree or diploma is preferred.
