The Traffic & Grounds Attendant is responsible for using safe and efficient methods in performing his / her duties, to ensure a high standard of service is provided to Mount Seymour staff and guests.

Responsibilities :

To uphold Mount Seymour’s mandate of providing fun and entertaining outdoor winter experiences for guests and staff .

To uphold Mount Seymour’s Core Values.

Compliance with all Mount Seymour policies and procedures as set out in the Employee Handbook.

Prompt arrival at work in order to start work at the predetermined time.

Report and rectify any unsafe acts.

Measure and maintain propane inventories.

Maintain the parking lot on high volume days, i.e. directing cars to empty parking spots.

Set up and maintain traffic stops and tire checks.

Layout and dismantle traffic and parking lot markers and signs.

Provide traffic control for motor vehicle incidents on roadway while assisting emergency agencies.

The collection of all outside garbage and transfer station runs when required.

The collection of recyclable items and transporting them to proper stations.

Removal of snow from public and staff entrances / exits around buildings, drainage and rooftops.

Ensure proper, safe, and effective setup, dismantling and handling of all required equipment.

To communicate with Base Radio every morning regarding any overnight vehicles prior to 10 : 00am.

To provide guests with Mount Seymour park and resort information.

To complete shipping / receiving and off hill duties as required.

Other related duties as required.

Qualifications :

Valid driver’s license is required.

Traffic Control Persons certificate is an asset.

Able to follow direction and work unsupervised.

Excellent communication and guest service skills.

Good physical condition

Willing and able work outdoors in all weather conditions while performing labour intensive duties.

The ability to work well under pressure in a high volume environment and able to reason and react with quick, thoughtful judgment.

Ability to be a supportive team member.

Rate of Pay : Hourly wage
