Organization Overview Position Overview Reporting to the Vice President, Estimating & PMO, the Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that the project is completed safely, on schedule and in compliance with the contract schedule and project budgets, while maintaining positive relationships with Owners.

The Project Manager also supports the successful acquisition and tendering of various projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Establish customer relations and business opportunities as a representative of the Company
  • Support Estimating as required - attend pre-bid meetings; review tender documents for technical requirements and ensure bid compliance;
  • provide various execution plans; close tenders with Estimating leadership.

  • Responsible for the overall planning and scheduling of assigned projects including monitoring and reporting.
  • Ensure that all functions and operations on assigned projects are executed in compliance with local legislative and labour requirements.
  • Ensures that Company policies and procedures are followed in all aspects of project execution.
  • Manages and coordinates projects within budgets.
  • Prepare project cost status reports in terms of percent complete, cost to date, ECAC, Rev, Margin, etc.
  • Identify project concerns proactively and alert management of potential risks on assigned projects. Develop a plan to minimize and mitigate project impacts.
  • Monitors the overall progress of the project on a constant basis and takes corrective action where necessary.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts and reduce risk through managing scope and contract change.
  • Ensuring all scope and contract changes are submitted and approved by the customer.
  • Responsible for implementing and monitoring of the Company’s Safety Policy and Program.
  • Responsible for implementing and monitoring of the Company’s Quality Assurance Program and related requirements.

  • Responsible for management of all aspects of subcontractor work execution and contracts.
  • Preparation of billings
  • Assist in the collection of outstanding payments
  • EPC Projects direct / oversee engineers and interface with Joint Venture Partners
  • Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience
  • Technical background with professional accreditation (P.Eng. / CET) or equivalent industry experience
  • Piping / Mechanical / Electrical general knowledge
  • Read, analyze and interpret technical design drawings
  • Contracts - Commercial knowledge
  • Negotiating skills, composure under pressure
  • Scheduling experience and analysis skills
  • Cost analysis, control and reporting
  • Supervision / personnel experience
  • Computer proficiency
