Reporting to the Assistant Starbucks Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following :

  • Provide fast, efficient and friendly guest service.
  • Handle cash and maintain a proper float balance as outlined in our accounting policy
  • Create and Serve specialty coffee beverages
  • Assist in daily Food and Beverage inventory management
  • Resolve guest concerns and respond to requests in a quick and helpful manner
  • Complete proper shift policies, procedures and reports as necessary
  • Promote professional work habits that will develop the respect of and will create return business from our guests
  • Enforce a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues by upholding the safety rules provided by the department and hotel
  • Ensure that all equipment is clean and in good working condition and report any deficiencies
  • Adhere to Starbucks standards
  • Incorporate Fairmont Hotels Service Promise and Values in daily interaction with internal and external guests
  • Display professional behaviour, integrity, pride, and loyalty to the Hotel and your colleagues
  • Working in a team atmosphere to provide exceptional service
  • Be able to work well under pressure in a fast paced high volume environment
  • Prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Participate in ongoing learning opportunities and enhance your skills, abilities and professionalism for personal growth and development
  • Act as an ambassador for our hotel, community, brand and colleagues
  • Clear tables and maintain a clean and welcoming guest seating area
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications :

  • Must be energetic, enthusiastic, personable and presentable
  • Food & Beverage experience
  • Good communication and organization skills
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in four star Hotel is preferred
  • Must possess excellent customer relations skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Read, speak and understand the English language
  • Must be self-directed and self-motivated
  • Able to function as part of a team and provide direction to others
  • Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to) :

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
  • Visa Requirements : Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The Hotel is unable to assist in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
