What is the opportunity?

You are an experienced Senior Technical Systems Analyst who will be a member of the production support group responsible for providing application support within RBC Enterprise Technology, Document and Workflow Solutions.

You would partner with IT and Business Stakeholders as part of a team to assess and analyze Document Management and Workflow Business Problems, leveraging RBC enterprise standard products to support customized software solutions.

Technology and Operations (T&O) plays a critical role in the day to day activities that align with RBC’s business strategies, outcomes and objectives to ensure continued focus on enabling leading advice and service for RBC clients that is backed by technological and operational excellence.

What will you do?

  • Collaboratively support agile applications to ensure minimal business downtime
  • Be a technology advocate and share expertise with other team members.
  • Execute best support practices in Incident investigation, technical escalation, diagnosis, recovery, documentation, communication and transition to Problem Management.
  • Work on a portfolio of applications in the Enterprise Applications & Document Workflow ECM Support and Maintenance area.
  • Communicate closely with Business Partners and technical teams to provide regular updates on Incident and Problem tickets and coordinate problem fix releases out to Production.
  • Coordinate application-specific questionnaires and act as the Application Custodian to review / approve myMarketPlace requests and approvals
  • Assist in onboarding of new applications to the Support teams
  • Participate and coordinate in all support audit and compliance tasks
  • Coordinate Business PIV for application and infrastructure support related activities
  • Review Change Records and tasks under respective applications
  • Track all resiliency and technology currency of respective applications
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery related exercises
  • What do you need to succeed?


  • 3-5 years in depth experience with Run the Bank practices (system monitoring, troubleshooting network or application layer, etc.
  • utilizing leading edge architecture tools (DevOps, etc)

  • Familiarity with following technologies and proven expertise in at least one of them :
  • Pega, Enterprise Content Management, KTA
  • Multiple platforms (e.g. MVS, Internet, Client / Server)
  • Middleware technologies (e.g. MQSeries / Websphere, WXF, XML, .NET)
  • Experience with various project methodologies, including iterative waterfall and agile. Capability to manage multiple priorities across a number of assignments and prioritize effectively
  • IT Standards, Methodologies, System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Project Management Framework (PMF). Understanding of ITIL processes.
  • Strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.

  • Familiarity with Business Process Management (BPM), Document Management or Workflow systems. Direct experience with Exposure to RBC Change Management processes and tools (E.
  • g. ServiceNow, ALM, Rally)


  • Experience in application development / support one or more of following : PEGA, Kofax KTA, IBM Content Manager, IBM Content Manager OnDemand.
  • Working knowledge of JCL
  • Working understanding of Load Balancing, Firewalls, DNS, SSL an asset.
  • Banking, Insurance and / or Wealth Management businesses and products. Experience in all software development methodologies such Waterfall, Agile or Iterative-Waterfall
