m. 4 : 00 p.m. with ½ unpaid lunchPurpose of Role : The HSE Administrator, under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the HSE Administrator plans and organizes HSE activities (including meetings and incident reporting deadlines) and ensure that safety information is stored and retained appropriately.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Maintenance of all HSE records and files. Assist with workplace investigation documentation. Assist with transportation needs of employees requiring tests and minor medical aid.
Data entry, through the data entered, generates spreadsheets and metrics. Compile reports as requested. When directed, take minutes for meetings and forward the information to the appropriate parties.
Responsible for organizing safety orientations and in-house safety training. Responsible for organizing monthly safety meetings.
Book company required external training. Book pre-employment testing. Coordinate inspections, investigations, and safety activities with departments.
As instructed, complete facility inspections. Review Safety Data Sheet binders and make additions as required. Other related HSE administrative duties as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, WORK EXPERIENCE, SKILLS Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email.
Minimum 3 years of administrative experience. Class 5 Driver’s License. Experience working in a Safety Department considered an asset.
Organized, punctual, advocate of a safe work environment, team mentality, ability to work in a fast paced environment. Able to pass pre-
employment screening including but not limited to drug, alcohol, and audiometric testing. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK CONDITIONSPhysical Requirements Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing site.
Climbing and ascending stairs. Sitting for an extended period of time.Work Conditions Use of required site PPE as required (e.
g. ear plugs / hard hat / safety hi-visibility vest / safety boots / gloves / respirator / safety glasses). Office setting in a chemical manufacturing facility, with some observational work in the process facility.
