  • A mechanic provides full support in the preventative maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles, heavy equipment and miscellaneous equipment;
  • both at the Strike base office and also at remote field sites. The expectation is this individual will conduct him / herself in a professional manner to all clients, suppliers, associates, callers and visitors.

    A mechanic is organized, innovative, self-motivated, independent and customer service oriented.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Using good financial judgement when procuring parts and materials.
  • Accountable for the repairs, service, inventory management of parts, oils & other day-to-day consumables
  • Prioritizing field / shop repairs with respect to logistics of the utilized equipment with attention to deliverables
  • Maintaining good relationships with vendors
  • Aligning the maintenance and upkeep of fleet vehicles / equipment with attention being paid to federal commercial vehicle inspections and regulations
  • POSTION DETAILS

  • 21 days on / 7 days off schedule
  • Living accommodations to be negotiated
  • Position will be based out of High Level Alberta
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Journeyman ticket or experienced apprentice motivated to complete schooling
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the automotive / heavy equipment repair industry
