JOB POSTING # 2018-038 L3 Technologies ESS Inc. (L3 ESS), a division of L3 Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) segment, is an internationally recognized supplier of integrated logistics and system support services providing OEM and third party MRO for a variety of avionics, cockpit displays and other systems.

We provide integrated and performance based logistics support, logistics management, supply chain management and technical solutions for air, land and naval platforms for defense applications.

L3 ESS employs highly skilled and experienced personnel, including logisticians, engineers, technologists and technicians and we are now seeking a motivated individual for the Halifax team : Contracts Administrator DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

  • Prepare proposals and administer contracts under the direction of a Contracts Manager;
  • Communicate requests for proposals internally to collect quotation and proposal information;
  • Input contract information into SAP;
  • Read, analyse, provide advice and apply the contract in daily transactions and in disputes;
  • Communicate and manage relationships with external customers;
  • Coordinate with and advise product teams and functional organizations in relation to contractual matters;
  • Assist in developing, maintaining and enhancing in-house contract practices and processes.
  • Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Essential qualifications / experience includes :

  • Excellence in written / oral communication;
  • Strong relationship development skills;
  • Ability to read and understand contractual terminology and documentation;
  • Very strong organizational and time management skills.
  • The following qualifications / experience would be an asset :

  • Ability to analyse risk in terms and conditions;
  • Experience drafting proposals and contracts;
  • Experience working with SAP
  • Training and experience in contract administration;
  • Experience in government procurement contracts and the defence industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law or related discipline
  • LI-SD1*IN-ES*IND All successful applicants must be eligible to meet requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and Canadian government security clearance.
  • The successful applicant can expect to enjoy L3 ESS’s 9 / 80 Work Schedule 2 weeks’ work scheduled into 9 work days, resulting in every other Friday off.
