IUGO, one of Vancouver's leading mobile game developers, responsible for smash successes such as The Walking Dead : Road to Survival and Knights & Dragons, is currently seeking a Senior UX Designer.
The right candidate will aid in building best practices backed by analytics and play-testing data, guiding the team on interdisciplinary projects to establish a holistic, consistent player experience.
You will create collaborative relationships with stakeholders, establishing a strong UX vision and evangelizing player experience design.
Refining and optimizing user experience and team processes, utilizing the UX research team and resources you have to hand.
The ideal candidate should be highly self-motivated and display exceptional organizational and methodological skills.
Drive UX excellence for the game, and discover opportunities for further research, improvement and innovation
Seek out and leverage the insights of the team's playtesting and player research to inform your game and feature designs
Define and implement standards that help the team create a consistent, quality experience for its players across iOS and Android mobile platforms
Design and audit system architecture and business processes for the project team
Create wireframes and user flows, ensuring that iterative feedback is incorporated into the development process
Collaborate with design teams on in-game feature planning and implementation
Lead a UI / UX team guiding style consistency, and working with internal & external stakeholders
Mentoring and supporting the career development of the UI / UX team
5+ years of experience delivering innovative results in mobile UX design
Expert in process flow development, journey mapping and user requirements analysis
Familiarity with F2P, RPG games on iOS and Android platforms
Knowledge of standard UX design tools for wireframing, prototyping, flow-charts, etc.
Familiarity with monetization strategies for in-app purchases and free-to-play games
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Excellent organizational and methodological skills, with high attention to detail
Expert in integrating new processes, tactical resources for the team (project and disciplinary team)
Understanding of game production pipelines
Proven portfolio demonstrating entire UX process including research, problem, solution and reasonings
A passion for games
BA / BS in related discipline or technical equivalent
Working knowledge of analytics, cluster analysis, A / B testing
Previous experience with the development and shipment of AAA titles
