Scope of Work :
Service and repair a widevariety of commercial and industrial electronic Building AutomationSystems (BAS) and security products, including cameras, videosystems, automation equipment, security equipment, andassemblies
Main Duties :
Inspect BAS and security products to determinethe requirement for repair
Repair or replace defective orworn-out parts and components using hand, power or speciallydesigned tools
Test and adjust repaired products forproper functioning
Calibrate BAS and security products usinghand tools
Install, maintain and repair BAS and securityelectronic equipment
Inspect and test electronicequipment, components and assemblies using multimeters, circuittesters, oscilloscopes, logic probes and other electronic testinstruments, tools and equipment
Diagnose and locatecircuit, component and equipment faults
Adjust, align,replace or repair BAS and security electronic equipment, assembliesand components following equipment manuals and schematics, andusing soldering tools and other hand and powertools
Complete work orders, test and maintenancereports
May supervise other BAS and security electronicequipment servicetechnicians
Completionof a two to three year college electronics engineering technologyprogram or, completion of a two to three year college programrelevant to BAS and security equipment or product repair, isrequired
Completion of several years of on-the-jobtraining is required
Certification in BAS and / or securityelectronic equipment service ispreferred.
