GeneralOverview :

The Plastic Injection Senior Mold Technicianis responsible for managing the day to day activities of the Moldingdepartment.

This includes maintaining the Molding department schedule,overseeing the set-up, cycling and operating of all molding machines,supervising the department and ensuring all training and reviews of employeesare conducted on time.

This position works with Quality, and Project Manager todetermine and correct part flaws as well as understand the principles ofmolding.

In addition, the Senior Process Technician works with the Qualitydepartment to understand customer needs and requirements.

Finally, the SeniorProcess Technician is responsible for the quality of all parts produced as wellas the safety of all employees.

GeneralDuties :

  • Work with Process Technicians and Quality to develop processing cycles for all molding machines.
  • Troubleshoot any molding issues using Root Cause Analysis (or similar) to determine and correct the issues going forward.
  • Attend the daily production meeting and assign work based on the priorities outlined in the meeting.
  • Manage department profitability by improving first time yield and reducing material waste.
  • Work with Quality to qualify new or existing parts on new Molding Machines.
  • Prepare and conduct all Molding department employee reviews.
  • Keep the department clean and ensure it is customer ready at all times.
  • Ensure all set-up files are updated and stored electronically.
  • Maintain the preventative maintenance schedule for all Molding machines and auxiliary equipment
  • Create and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • 2-5 years in a plastic Injection Molding environment
  • Strong blueprint interpretation, understanding of tolerance specifications
  • Comfortable with a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proven problem solving abilities, attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal skills along with the ability to handle multiple priorities at any time.
  • Able to get along with others and attend work each day on time.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
