  • Major Responsibilities

  • Preparation and analysis of reports to support Finance and Marketing teams.
  • Analysis of specific P&L line items, including : variance / mix analysis, investigation / due diligence on material departure from plan / forecast (e.
  • g. sales by customer, trade spend, COGS, distribution, bad goods).

  • Participation in the planning process for Ice Cream, including preparation of the Monthly Business Planning review & outlook, Dynamic Forecast, Annual Integrated Commercial Planning (ICP), and Long Term strategic planning.
  • Provide insightful financial reporting and analysis for the business team, ensuring that relevant trends and variances are highlighted and champion sound corrective action.
  • Support monthly process to identify, implement and track cost savings initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain teams to evaluate financial feasibility of product innovation / renovations, including analyzing cost input variables and required pricing to achieve margin percent.
  • Lead Business Portfolio Optimization (BPO) process to identify opportunities to reduce complexity via SKU rationalization.
  • Assist in ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial information, including period end requirements (e.g. journal entries, LE), as well as correctly interpreting and applying accounting policies & corporate policies across the business.
  • Lead ad hoc projects that will bring more efficiency and effectiveness into processes that support the Ice Cream businesses.
  • Qualifications

  • A university or college degree in Finance or Business Administration. CPA, CGA, CMA or CA designation and / or MBA considered a strong asset.
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Experience using or knowledge of SAP an asset.
  • Strong communication skills, including presentation of financial information to non-financial users.
  • A self-starter, with strong analytical skills, the ability to prioritize workflow and operate independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong relationship builder with the ability to manage through influence and collaboration.
  • Able and willing to get into the details.
