What is the opportunity?

The RBC Dominion Securities Branch located in the heart of Ottawa’s Little Italy on Preston Street is looking to hire a Branch Operations Assistant to join their team.

In this one year contractual role, the successful candidate will provide superior service along with administrative and operational support to clients and employees.

What will you do?

  • Greet clients in person and on the phone in an open and friendly manner
  • Provide attentive and accurate service to clients and respond to their needs
  • Prepare cheques and daily bank deposits
  • Deal with incoming and outgoing funds
  • Complete administrative tasks to help the Branch Management team : manage office stationery orders, boardroom scheduling, and provide support to the Branch Administrator when needed
  • Assist the Branch Management team with a detailed review of daily activities following internal procedures and guidelines
  • Must-have :

  • Exceptional client relationship management skills
  • Professional approach to all situations to create a positive working environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to complete duties independently and in a team environment
  • Capacity to adhere to and ensure proper processes are always followed
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • N ice-to-have :

  • Two years of experience in a similar role within the financial services industry
  • Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course and the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course
