The primary role of the OFA-3 attendant on site is to ensure the well-being of the crews they are working with. The Attendants provide care to injured workers, inform new personnel arriving on location of the hazards on site, keep proper head counts in case of emergency, and participate in daily safety meetings.
Good working knowledge of site Emergency Response Plans and the role of the first aid attendant in those plans. ? Provide care for people who are injured or become ill at work.
The first aid attendant must respect and honor a worker's decision to seek medical treatment or the worker's choice of medical treatment.
Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with employees, subcontractors and all personnel at all times

Ethics and Integrity Minimum Level 3 Occupational First Aid Certification ? 1-3 years industry experience ? Class 5 Driver's license an asset ?
Certificates such as the following are an asset : H2S alive, Confined Space entry and rescue, CSTS, WHMIS, Hazard Assessment training, Fall Protection, Accident investigation ?
Must be physically and mentally capable of safely and effectively performing the required duties. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and handle strenuous exercise in an emergency situation.
Basic computer literacy, able to send / receive emails, use spread sheets and word documents if needed
