Job Description : The Wholesale, Liquor and Optical Finance Team is a unique group within Loblaw that provides support to business partners across a varied range of activities.
The team works closely with Operations, Merchandising and Business Support teams in both traditional retail banners as well in cross-divisional COE (Center of Excellence) businesses in setting, tracking and achieving financial goals.
Role Accountabilities : Assist in the preparation, consolidation and review of the periodic forecast, strategic plan and annual budgetPrepare and present reports and analysis to business partnersWeekly reporting to track business performance relative to plan and forecastWork closely and cohesively with business partners to support key initiatives and projectsDevelop, enhance and implement financial models that consider multiple driversSupport and drive continuous process improvement, with an ability to adapt and evolve with the needs of the businessAd hoc projects and analysesQualifications : Minimum 1 - 3 years previous experience in a related roleStrong business acumen, with an ability to focus on continuous improvementAbility to build excellent interpersonal relationships and work effectively as part of a teamQuality driven and detail orientedProficient with Excel and Power Point, and experience in financial modeling and data managementCompleted CPA, or working towards the designation would be preferredHow You’ll Succeed : At Loblaw, we seek great people to continually strengthen our culture.
