Job Description :
Thisposition supervises and directs the daily activities of the lot personnel andthe lot operations function for the Auction and ensures the efficient, orderlyand proper staging and moving of vehicles on the lot and through the saleslanes.
Job Responsibilities :
Assist with lotoperations on a daily basis to ensure efficient operations prior to and aftersale.
Supervise the dailyoperation of the vehicle check-in area by supervising and coordinating theactivities and the work flow of the sale lot drivers, check-
in personnel, lanecaptains and other lot operations employees.
Ensure efficient lotoperations by coordinating the movement of vehicles from check-in to the salelanes. Supervise flow to ensure that incoming vehicles are received,stocked-
in, numerated and parked in the proper areas.
Provide quality serviceand interact with customers to resolve any problems that may occur.
Inspect and maintainlot operations equipment and ensure that it is functional and in good workingcondition.
Monitor lot damage, andmeet with Operations Manager on a regular basis to review and resolve potentiallot operations problems.
Coordinate withReconditioning, Check-in, Factory and Fleet / Lease departments to schedule and preparevehicles for sale, ensure accurate and efficient vehicle check in and propersequence of vehicles.
Supervise and directthe work of lot operations employees by determining work procedures, preparingwork schedules, expediting the workflow, assigning duties and monitoring workfor accuracy and conformance to policies and procedures.
Assist manager incounseling and disciplining employees as necessary. Under the direction of themanager, plan, monitor and evaluate employee job performance, and assist managerin conducting performance appraisals.
Work in cooperation with safety leadership in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
reviewdepartmental performance against key performance indicators and metrics anddevelop and execute strategies for improvement.
Effectively leads theteam at the location by setting an example in behavior, championing Cox / Manheimvalues and ensuring that all employees are treated with respect.
Enforce all companypolicies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.
Perform other duties asassigned by manager.
High School Diploma orequivalent required.
Minimum of 3 years lotoperations experience required.
Experience inautomobile industry or the Auction business required.
Strong communicationand interaction skills required.
Competent supervisoryand organizational skills required.
Good computer andsoftware knowledge.
Valid driver’s Licenseand good driving record required.
Ability to drivevehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
Regularly required tostand, walk, reach, talk and hear. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch,bend, squat and climb.
Manual dexterity,repetitive motion tasks.
Visionabilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perceptionand ability to adjust focus.
