The Opportunity :

We are looking for two (2) experienced email deliverability professionals in North America (Based in Toronto-hybrid, or remote anywhere in North America) , who are passionate about deliverability and helping our clients reach the inboxes of their customers.

This role will work cross-functionally with Customer Success, Marketing, Deliverability, Product & IT, across North America and India, as well as with external industry groups on strategic factors affecting our clients.

They will focus on growing and improving the deliverability of our Enterprise and Professional level clients and will help direct emailing strategies to ensure the best possible deliverability results.

The Senior Deliverability Analyst will be responsible for proactively monitoring and analyzing the campaign KPIs and trends of Maropost’s customers.

They will report on the results, and make actionable recommendations to improve inbox deliverability. This role will work closely with the Customer Success team to achieve overall campaign success for our clients.

They will proactively maintain strong working relationships with Maropost customers through regular check-ins, resolve deliverability issues that impact success, and respond to retention risks / opportunities.

In addition to providing deliverability consulting for Maropost’s clients, t his role will also work in a strategic capacity on various projects both internally and externally including tracking current email trends and legal changes in the industry and communicating those to our teams internally and our clients.

This role will also maintain a strong industry presence for Maropost, and implementing necessary changes to our various products .

Other Responsibilities :

  • Professionally managing customer relationships to ensure high customer retention and superior email deliverability results.
  • Working in conjunction with the Customer Success team to proactively provide deliverability reports and contact customers regularly to ensure they are set up for success
  • Identifying risks to deliverability and proactively engaging the Customer whenever there's an identified deliverability concern.
  • Staying up to date on the email legal landscape, best practices, and participating in industry groups such as M3AAWG, ESPC, etc.
  • Improve overall messaging deliverability for our clients
  • Work as the strategic point of contact internally and externally, to drive product changes and enhancements based on external and internal factors
  • Work with various internal teams, and other stakeholders to improve the overall customer retention strategies
  • Track and report on the following metrics for our clients : deliverability, missing, bulk, complaints, spam traps, IP reputation changes at campaign, domain, and IP level
  • Work with the deliverability technical staff to optimize our IP addresses and domain configurations.
  • Investigate and resolve problems with ISP deliverability, working with the deliverability technical staff, 3rd party vendors, and ISP contacts
  • What You’ll Bring To Maropost :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least 3-6+ years of relevant experience in a consultative / operations email deliverability position (ideally for for an email marketer or ESP)
  • Have strong relationships with major players such as mailbox providers and other senders in the email space and email marketing community including ISP relationships.
  • A strong knowledge of the email ecosystem and legal requirements for senders and ESPs
  • Technical expertise in deliverability, SMTP, DNS, and authentication protocols
  • Strong project management skills to work with key players internally and externally
  • A strong understanding of email marketing KPIs and deliverability KPIs
  • A strong knowledge and working experience with email deliverability monitoring tools like InboxAware, Validity / ReturnPath, 250ok, etc.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of best practices for sending bulk email using an ESP, and understand the authentication standards and related email concepts, protocols, and methods.
  • Have participated in at least four email deliverability groups or conferences such as M3AAWG and ESPC.
  • Extensive experience with ISP Relations, FBL signups, bounce and complaint handling, email block resolution, email filtering, and block listing policies at ISPs, filtering companies, and blocklist services
  • Extensive using data segmentation based on deliverability metrics to assist in inbox deliverability and verse with dissecting and formulating raw information
  • Experience with in-house and commercial emailing campaign systems (ESPs)
  • Strong people skills with the ability to advise while empathizing with customers in a professional yet friendly manner
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for building relationships
  • Experience or exposure to SaaS platforms
  • The ability to work autonomously, managing your workload, and prioritize effectively.
  • Highly Desirable :

  • Experience with Salesforce and Jira
  • Experience working in the retail industry / eCommerce with a solid understanding of retail operations
  • A good sense of humor and a willingness to participate in our social atmosphere is also important.
