What can you expect in this role?

Reporting to the Manager, Rate Implementation, you will be responsible to provide operational support and lead activities that enable the Rating POD to implement pricing changes to production.

You are an integral member of a highly engaged team that supports rating projects, stand-alone rate changes, production defects and incident resolution for both Personal Insurance and Individually Rated Commercial Auto (IRCA).

Accountability highlights include :

  • Day-to-day oversight and coordination of rate changes activities to deliver prioritized items and meet defined objectives
  • Work with our Pricing team to clarify requirements and ensure gating is met and enforced
  • Raise impediments and blockers in timely manner to minimize impact to rate change deployments.
  • As required, coordinate stand-alone rate deployments to production.
  • Follow rate change processes, governance and controls, adhering to Change Management process for change tickets, incidents and defects.
  • Lead the coordination efforts to ensure rating production issues are effectively addressed
  • Work with the Product Owner and Implementation Manager to ensure priorities of rate changes and defects are defined and clear.
  • As required, facilitate action plans to resolve and escalate issues appropriately
  • Adopt established rating processes, guiding principles, and procedures, to ensure successful delivery of rate changes
  • Provide insights and opportunities for ongoing improvement to processes and procedures
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Business Underwriting team, Pricing team, GW developers and Technical Leads as well as Business and IT leadership
  • What you bring :

  • Knowledge of Guidewire or rating knowledge in general is preferred
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence is an asset.
  • Analytical skills to find root cause of an issue and solution
  • Working experience in an Agile Scrum and / or Kanban is an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively, to tight timelines and with a high degree of quality
  • Demonstrated ability to engage others with strong personal interaction skills
  • Ability to develop and execute sprint and / or project plans and activities with a high degree of confidence
