FCV Interactive is a full-service agency. As a result of exciting new business wins, we are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our IT team.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will report directly to the Senior Director, Technology.

You will be responsible for collaborating with our team of developers to manage and maintain FCV’s suite of tools and build pipelines to client environments, the building and on-

going support of these environments. Working directly with our team in Business Development, Client Services, and the clients themselves, to ensure the proper architecting of top-

of-the-line hosted solutions.

This role will also assist with the management and maintenance of our internal systems, user work-stations, and assist users with technical issues as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation, maintenance, monitoring, optimization, troubleshooting and supporting of all FCV development systems, and managed client environments spread over multiple geographical locations across Canada
  • IT Support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft’s core business applications and operating systems, servers, and communications tools
  • Technical support at the network level : WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security
  • Remote monitoring and management of system alerts and notifications, and respond accordingly through service tickets using Jira
  • Creating and maintaining systems architecture documentation as well as user guides, procedures and policies
  • Available to travel to multiple office locations as required
  • Skills & Experience

  • Expertise in a DevOps role, supporting .NET and / or PHP development projects
  • Experience with Jenkins, Gitlab and continuous delivery tools and best practices
  • Expertise in Windows and Linux-based server environments
  • Strong experience with public clouds (eg. AWS and Azure) including building and maintaining cloud-based solutions - server, network and storage
  • Strong ability to support internal and client projects including daily technical support
  • Expertise in building and maintaining enterprise security components including firewalls, network zoning, encryption, certificates, account provisioning / de-
  • provisioning, active directory integration, password and access management, single sign-on solutions, anti-virus protection, systems hardening standards and other related topics

  • Hands-on experience with backup and recovery procedure planning and execution
  • Strong communication, problem solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to focus under pressure and deal with ambiguity
  • Ability to function independently and exhibit a high degree of discretion and confidentiality
