Responsibilities :

  • Participate in the development of the written procedures, programs and processes requested by regulatory agencies
  • Participate in the development and implementation of health and safety programs and policies for employees
  • Participate in incident investigations (injuries, spills, material damage, etc.)
  • Identify workplace EHS problems and take the necessary steps to resolve them
  • Participate in the implementation of the Zero Harm Culture program and monitor it
  • Assume responsibility for the training program, including the training matrix
  • Be responsible for environmental and health and safety prevention activities
  • Oversee day-to-day activities to ensure EHS operations are carried out harmoniously
  • Take charge of all aspects related to the environment
  • Develop and evaluate the workplace risk analysis
  • Participate in the development of return to work programs (worker's compensation program)
  • Follow up on EHS-related nonconformities
  • Implement an EHS communication process and send regular communications
  • Be the EHS member of the rapid response team
  • Be responsible for personal protective equipment
  • Participate in internal audits
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent (experience in this field could constitute an equivalence)
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship and communication skills
  • Very good knowledge of French and English (written and spoken)
  • Understanding of regulations and government standards and of their impact on facilities
  • Up to 2 years of successful experience in a related field and successful demonstration of the above-mentioned key responsibilities and knowledge
