We're looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer Airworthiness Compliance to join the Toronto based Sunwing Airlines Maintenance & Engineering team.
You will be responsible to :
Ensure all historical technical records are complete and accurate, with respect to Airworthiness Directives (AD), major modifications (MOD) and structural repairs, to ensure compliance with airworthiness, regulatory and lease requirements.
Ensure the validity, accuracy and completeness of all technical data entries in the Computerized Maintenance Tracking System (CMTS) to ensure compliance with data integrity requirements.
Assist and conduct internal, vendor and surveillance audits. You will also be responsible for the development and delivery of training presentations to ensure maintenance personnel remain current and competent in their assigned job functions.

About You :
You are a detail oriented individual able to identify airworthiness requirements with respect to Airworthiness Directives (AD), Modifications (MOD) and repairs and who can act independently to verify regulatory compliance.
You can analyse data and draw conclusions with respect to assessing reliability, accuracy of troubleshooting and compliance with airworthiness requirements.
Reporting to the Quality, Airworthiness & Training Manager, you are self-motivated, highly organized and able to perform the assigned tasks independently and objectively.
You can build trust and earn the confidence of others in a co-operative endeavour to ensure safety and regulatory compliance in the environment of an Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO).
What You’ll Do :
Review completed maintenance work packages with respect to the accomplishment of airworthiness directives, modifications and repairs to ensure the record is complete and accurate to support airworthiness and regulatory compliance.
Review AD, Service Bulletin (SB), structural repair, MOD, and heavy maintenance records within the CMTS and co-ordinate with relevant departments / personnel to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Audit base maintenance check packages for compliance to airworthiness requirements
Perform regular surveillance audits of day-to-day CMTS entries to confirm continued CMTS data integrity and compliance with AMP & other mandatory requirements
Perform regular surveillance audits of maintenance being done at Sunwing as well as other contracted maintenance facilities.
Perform full reviews of vendor contracts as they are developed
Prepare and conduct training, as necessary, to ensure maintenance personnel remain current and competent and to promote excellence in compliance with technical record keeping requirements.
Develop audit checklists to support audits for compliance of company policies and procedures.

What You’ll Need :
Hold an M2 or E category AME licence or related experience to support an equivalent level of knowledge
A minimum of 3-5 years previous experience in an aircraft maintenance environment with adequate knowledge of technical records, airworthiness and regulatory requirements
A minimum of 2 years previous supervisory experience in a Technical Record keeping, Quality Control or Quality Auditor role.
Adequate knowledge of Transport Canada Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR) & Standards relevant to the operation of an Aircraft Maintenance Organization (AMO)
Experience conducting company audits, raising audit findings, root-cause analysis, follow-up & reporting
Experience conducting organizational policy & procedures training
Proficiency in AMOS or similar Computer Maintenance Tracking System (CMTS)
Proficiency in MS Office with the ability to prepare databases, reports and training material
A willingness to work overtime and flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
