The Shift Manager is responsible for the overall Hospital operation of program / services, providing ongoing support to front line staff after regular business hours.
This includes the management of patient care activities, timely patient flow, appropriate resource allocation, and the management of Department specific and Hospital-wide clinical and non-clinical issues.
This is accomplished in a way that is conducive to the growth and development of staff.
What must you have?
Three to five years’ experience in an acute care clinical leadership role.
Baccalaureate degree or equivalent.
Supports and mentors staff in critical thinking and decision making through a highly visible presence throughout the facility.
Manages conflict and facilitates its resolution in staff to staff, staff to MD, and staff to patient and / or family situations.
Identifies systems issues and assists in the development and implementation of policies and processes to address these issues.
Provides information requiring ongoing attention to the Manager, Patient Flow, Manager on-call and Administrator on-call, as appropriate.

Member of a regulated health discipline.

Ability to establish effective working relationships.
Demonstrates high level of initiative, self-direction, flexibility and ability to adapt to change / changing situations.
Proficient use of information technology tools and solutions.
Proven attendance record.
