Employment duration POSITION OVERVIEW The Field Manager will be report directly to the Operations Manager. The Field Manager will be responsible for leading a team of employees and subcontractors in the field to ensure successful and profitable management of the Connectivity Solutions service delivery team.

As a leader within the team, the Manager will use Telecon’s SMART values to meet the company objectives by providing all necessary support to team operations while ensuring the company’s vision and guiding principles are adhered to.

  • Department # of openings RESPONSIBILITIES At all times, the Field Manager will be responsible for the ensuring the Health & Safety of themselves, their team and all customers in an environmentally friendly manner;
  • promote and apply health & safety standards Assist the Operations Manager in strategic planning and deployment to meet short and mid-

    term objectives, profitability and business growth. Direct and lead their team towards goal and objectives. Plan, organize and coordinate the workloads for employees and subcontractors within the team including administration (timesheet approvals, overtime approvals, etc.

  • Oversee the achievement of quality objectives and metrics based on compliance and standards Manage and coordinate escalations;
  • including but not limited to customer service escalations, damage claims, etc. Manage employee and subcontractor performance according to set objectives, in conjunction with organizational process;
  • lead progressive disciplinary actions Act as a change agent; coordinate effective implementation of new organizational activities and standards related to project management and governance, quality and health and safety management Supports the team professionally with ongoing coaching;
  • identifying training needs, performance management, and employee relations. Communicate with technicians, dispatch and client to ensure daily workloads are completed on time and to specifications Ensure adherence to administrative requirements;
  • ensure all services are executed in compliance with the Operations Manager’s needs, the customer contract and in accordance with industry and Telecon standards Manage the vehicle fleet, tools, equipment and stock applications assigned to the respective group, in collaboration with the Operations Manager and the support team Other duties as required REQUIREMENTS : Minimum of 5 years’ experience of supervising operations in the field Diploma or Degree related to the Telecommunications industry Communications Technician Journeyman or equivalent experience considered an asset Training in Construction Site Health & Safety Exceptional Customer Service focused, both internally and externally Outstanding interpersonal and influencing skills to build strong relationships, and network effectively with all levels of the organization and with external clients and partners ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS : Must have a valid Class 5 Drivers’ License Must be willing to travel locally and in Western Canada as needed Flexibility to work on weekends and varying shifts dependent on business needs
