The Regional Vice President builds, maintains, motivates and leads an efficient, well-trained, productive field sales organization responsible for attaining the aggregate sales quota for specific regions and for ensuring that the Sales Consultants carry out their responsibilities effectively and successfully.
Job Duties :
In a typical day, you will :
Plans, directs and manages activities of Sales Consultants.
Maintain responsibility for revenue and profitability of sales opportunities.
Establishes and maintains a quality recruitment, hiring, training and development program for sales personnel.
Supports the company's Compliance as well as HR policies and programs.
Plans and conducts periodic sales meetings to educate, train and stimulate the field organization.
Reviews sales results and all reports directly with Sales Consultants via telephone or in person each week.
Conducts formal and informal performance reviews.
Provides reinforcement or redirection as indicated and required.
Works with Sales Consultants to create and develop a sales plan based on sales targets and objectives.
Develops and ensures implementation of a sales strategy for each territory.
Maintains regional expenses at or under budget.
Reports to Area Vice President on a weekly basis : sales and expense actual vs. budget with details, Sales Productivity, Activity,
Target Status, Hospital Reference Account Status, Competition, Problems, Marketing Information, Programs Requested, Monthly itinerary, and Next Month’s Objectives.
Gains input and trend information from major customer groups through direct contact with such groups, organizations and other vendors, or through communication with Regional Vice Presidents or with influential and informed clinicians.
Cultivates, promotes and maintains VIP relationships on behalf of OCI within the Region by phone contact or personal visits.
Maintains a productive and beneficial relationship with influential clinicians and customer executives within the Region.
Works with Area Vice President regarding all aspects of the Region’s performance : overall business success, customer satisfaction and sales and regional management personnel Attends tradeshows, conventions, regional and national meetings along with managerial training sessions.
Performs other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements :
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor’s degree required.
Master’s degree a plus.
Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in the Healthcare industry with proven success in sales.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
Advanced computer skills required.
Proven leader with a series of successful accomplishments.
Must have solid knowledge of the endoscope, medical business and hospital network system.
Must have a proven track record of solid leadership capabilities.
Must be able to develop divisional and corporate objectives Must understand business and financial applications, i.e. goals, strategic planning, supervisory skills.
Strong selling and negotiating skills.
Approximately 35% of travel required.
