Position Overview

As an Associate, Cross Border Taxation you will support the planning and implementation of Cross Border Taxation in our client’s organization.

You will also contribute to a variety of client mandates, both ongoing and transactional :

Your profile

You're known for your curiosity, your desire to learn, your dynamism and your professionalism. As an associate, you work mainly with senior members of the Cross Border Taxation practice in a variety of client mandates, both ongoing and transactional.

Your main responsibilities will include the following :

  • Research using publicly available and secondary data on various topics (e.g. industry and competitor information, economic studies);
  • Research using public company databases for benchmarking of financial information;
  • Financial analysis; identification of profit drivers and analysis of corporate financial information for comparability;
  • Assisting in the preparation of Cross Border Taxation documentation;
  • Assisting in the preparation of files for audit defense;
  • Gaining a knowledge of Canadian and international corporate tax;
  • Your Qualifications

  • Post graduate degree in Finance, Economics or similar field;
  • Alternatively, CPA or CFA designation completed or in progress would be an asset;
  • 2 4 year’s work experience in a relevant field is preferable;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) ;
  • Although not required, French is an asset;
  • Strong research skills;
  • Creativity in using secondary data to perform research;
  • Interest to complete the CICA In-Depth Tax Course or a Master of Tax;
