  • Respond to and prioritize all equipment breakdowns
  • Perform repairs, take responsibility and make decisions necessary for completion within specified deadlines
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot all equipment in the fleet including but not limited to : trucks, sandblasting pots, plural component paint pumps, air compressors, air dryers, dust collectors, vacuum systems and trailers
  • Effectively and efficiently complete all maintenance requests
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance
  • Set up equipment
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures working in a safe and effective manner
  • Maintain parts and work records
  • Work collectively with other tradespeople
  • Knowledge in troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment as listed above
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, preferably in a fast-paced industrial contracting environment
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities and work environments
  • Ability to understand and interpret all equipment manuals, mechanical blue prints and electrical and control schematics
  • Comfortable working alone, but able to contribute to a cross functional team
  • Basic welding / fabrication skills considered an asset
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (both written and verbal)
  • Full G drivers license with a clean abstract. An AZ / DZ license would be considered an asset
