What you will do : Reporting to the Area General Manager (AGM), the Area Business Operations Manager manages a wide variety of field office administrative functions to include administrative staffing, fleet, accounts receivable dispute resolution, contract renewals, procurement, inventory, general business support functions, shipping and receiving, and cash collections.
Reviews reports on historical and future trends in performance as required to lead and maintain efficient day-to-day business support functions of district offices across an area.
Responsibilities also include overseeing the district office’s audit program in addition to overall district policies regarding compliance, monthly billings, and collections of overdue / delinquent accounts.
Support finance when required. Manage the administrative functions of the business. How you will do it :
Directs administrative teams that work with all domain Business Operations functions to support the local districts across the Area, as well as provide support as required to the corporate centralized shared service centers.
Manages the implementation of corporate administrative policies and procedures across all district offices within the Area territory, including human resources, fleet, procurement, inventory and other business administrative support functions.
Drives efficient administrative process capabilities by identifying process improvements to reduce cost and improve cash flow.
Partners collaboratively with Area Management Team (AMT) leaders and colleagues across the business to enable enterprise success around critical operations processes and handoffs.
Asses costing within the area, reduce overhead, and create administrative efficiency.
Reviews work flows, balances staffing needs and reassigns responsibilities as necessary to improve internal and external customer satisfaction.
Partners with Area Controller and other corporate Shared Services leaders to create and implement strategies for reducing aged receivables and achieving cash collection targets.
Timely addresses or escalates matters that can have a material impact to the area’s financial performance and / or compromise compliance with internal controls.
Position requires some business travel which may require overnight stays.
What we look for : Required :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Background preferably in business administration, accounting or finance.
5-10 years’ experience in an office manager’s position or equivalent, strong administrative backgrounds, financial background a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with management and team members.
Ability to handle / balance multiple projects / tasks and respond to district management’s needs and challenges.
Must be literate in the use of the on-line systems and personal computers including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and other software packages as required.
Internally motivated and driven, self-disciplined, able to work in a team environment. Ability to maintain high ethical standards across entire team.
Familiarity with office suite products (basic knowledge).
Familiarity with internal JCI platforms or open to learn.
