Our client located on the boarder of Brampton / Mississauga is seeking an Accounting Assistant for a contract opportunity approximately two months in duration, please see the list of responsibilities below : Responsibilities : Prepare accounting reports such as bank reconciliationsProcess invoices by verifying transaction information and obtaining authorization of payment.
Obtain revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices.Maintain financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
Assist with monthly HST returns and in filing other government returns.Ability to prepare and process payrollAssist with month end close and year end auditQualificationsMinimum 2 years’ experience in accounting and finance profession, with a good understanding of payroll source deductions.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and timelines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and within a team.Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy.Proficient with Microsoft Excel skills (e.
g. VLOOKUP, PIVOT Tables, Sum Formula)Quickbooks experienceManufacturing industry experienced is strongly preferred
