Description : Background


The IS Network Solutions team provides third level support, maintenance, and planning, for Client's network and server environment, as well as resourcing for ongoing projects supported by our Project Delivery Office (PDO).

Client maintains a diverse LAN and WAN environment that utilizes a wide variety of methods and technologies. Our network infrastructure is mostly Cisco based and consists of both physical and wireless devices.

The IS Network Solutions team consists of approximately 3 contract resources and operates in a pool concept where they are utilized across varying projects, based on skills and abilities, to provide the most efficient support to the business.

1.1 Description of Requirements

Client is looking for a proven Network Administrator to assist with the implementation of several new initiatives. Aside from project work, the Network Administrator will also provide day to day operations support within the IS Network Solutions group.

The key skills and knowledge areas required for the Network Administrator are outlined in Appendix A Supplementary Specifications.

The Network Administrator should have a minimum 5 years of directly related IT experience, with a broad understanding of technology and solutions trends in the market and the ability and desire to stay current.

The Network Administrator must be able to perform in a multi vendor team environment with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Proponents are strongly encouraged to provide specific and qualitative information of other areas where their expertise can add value to our team and make our projects as successful as possible.

The preference for start date is as soon as possible. The initial term for this role will be up to one year after which Client will evaluate its on-going requirements and potentially extend the terms for the resource in accordance with the terms and conditions of the proponent’s Master Services Agreement.

This resource will be required on site at Client Head Office in Regina and the proposed hourly rates shall be inclusive of all travel and living costs (PST and GST are extra).
