ONLY SHIFT OPEN IS TUESDAY TO FRIDAY FORM 5 M TO 9 AM

Toronto’s most vulnerable residents, many of them homeless, will find a warm welcome and a hearty breakfast at St John the Compassionate Mission .

Homeless shelters across the city close at 5am, many will have nowhere else to go St John’s, is the only drop-in open 5am-9am Tuesday through Saturday.

As Breakfast Host, you will assist with set-up, clean-up, serving food, washing dishes and some kitchen prep for service of approximately 100 plates per day.

Most importantly, you will help to create a welcoming environment of hospitality by greeting people, learning / remembering names, sitting at a table and sharing breakfast and perhaps a word or two with others.

This might appeal to people who want to offer themselves to the community before they head off to work, or an early riser.
