As an Intermediate Process Engineer supporting our municipal wastewater team, you will play an integral part in the success of our wastewater treatment plant designs

Process leads the design, and we’re looking for a leader like you to join our team. You’ll gain experience in evaluating and selecting processes for different wastewater applications, and will be responsible for establishing process design basis, developing process options, and optimizing the selected designs.

You will use your knowledge of general engineering principles, theories, concepts, and industry practices and standards to successfully deliver designs that meet our client’s needs.

Responsibilities

  • Complete PFDs and P&IDs, incorporating instrumentation and control considerations
  • Model processes and unit operations
  • Prepare specifications and operating narratives for process equipment
  • Participate in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling
  • Oversee site activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements
  • Maintains effective communication with project team members
  • Be responsible for your own budget, schedule, and quality
  • Coordinate multiple engineering disciplines
  • Have a positive attitude, be dependable with the ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and provide a high-quality work.
  • The minimum qualifications for this position are :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • 5 years of applicable experience in working with municipal wastewater clients (or similar)

    5 years of applicable experience in working as a process engineer

  • Professional Engineer registered in the Province of Alberta
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Proven experience with design of municipal water / wastewater treatment facilities
