Job Title : Senior Accountant - Audit and Assurance
Location : Ottawa, ON
Length of Assignment : Full time, Permanent
Salary : $60,000-$70,000 / year
Job Responsibilities :
Completing and supervising engagements
Audits and reviews and related tax filings
Identifying and resolving assurance engagement issues.
Training and mentoring junior staff on assurance engagements.
Developing and maintaining positive and productive working relationships
Assisting in the training and development of our team.
Qualifications :
Ability to work in English and French.
Previous experience in a public accounting firm working on audits and review engagements.
A professional designation.
Good technical knowledge of GAAP, audit and review procedures and tax compliance.
Computer skills including Caseware and Taxprep.
Strong understanding of a client-focused environment including related deadlines and the ability to work to meet those deadlines.
Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
