Mobile Developer

You’ll be working alongside an agile multi-platform team, focusing on native Android or iOS app development. Building a companion app to our flagship product Brightspace that’s in the hands of millions of students daily, advancing our goal of using technology to transform teaching and learning around the world.

What you'll bring to the role :

As part of the Mobile team

A good understanding of mobile UX / UI design patterns

Experience developing apps which are reliable, secure, and performant

Experience writing unit tests and testable code

Using technologies like Firebase, GraphQL, Node.js, Gradle, Terraform, AWS

As an iOS developer

Native iOS app development using Swift, Xcode

Understanding of Apple's design principles and interface guidelines

As an Android developer

Experience with Kotlin, the Android Framework, multi-threading and reactive programming

Familiarity with native build tools like Gradle, and Android Studio

Skills & Experience :

Bachelor' degree in computer science, computer engineering or similar technical discipline

A strong technical foundation, demonstrated ability to learn and a passion for technology

An understanding of advanced CS topics : security, caching, multithreading

Strong communication skills, spoken and written
