Warehouse Coordinator

McKeil Marine Limited has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Coordinator on a full-time permanent basis to act as an integrated member of the Procurement and Warehouse team.

The incumbent is responsible to assist in procurement of goods and services for the fleet as well as management of spare parts and inventory within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist with arranging and with unloading goods safely;
  • Inspect and ensure shipment received compares with invoice / manifest and other document(s) to ensure accuracy and rejection of damaged goods and record for inventory;
  • Pack, seal and label materials requested from warehouse to be shipped to vessel(s) and / or other locations;
  • Working with the Purchasing Assistant, o

    Arrange for deliveries, preparation of bills of lading and other shipping documents in conjunction with vessels and / or carriers.

  • Ensure warehouse is organized, presentable and safe at all times;
  • Maintain clean and safe housekeeping practices in office and warehouse spaces;
  • Assist with the monitoring of ; and reporting to the Purchasing Assistant

  • Manually stock inventory received or return back to warehouse;
  • Assist with special projects from time to time;
  • Maintain equipment information such as manuals, drawings, parts numbers, serial numbers, etc.

  • Assist purchasing on an occasional basis and as requested by the Purchasing Assistant;
  • Assist and transmit approved purchase orders and supporting documents to approved suppliers when necessary, as directed;
  • Track order receipt acknowledgement, prepare and communicate backorder or potential interruptions of delivery to Purchasing Manager and / or Vessel Manager(s);
  • Identify and research opportunities with suppliers to reduce costs and general new efficiencies where necessary.

    Other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time

    Qualifications :

  • Experience in a warehouse environment a strong asset;
  • MS Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook;
  • Valid and clean class G drivers licence and abstract;
  • Forklift certification or experience an asset (will train);
  • Excellent written and verbal communication;
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs;
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure with time constraints

    Successful candidate will possess previous experience in a warehouse environment and a strong customer focus. Skills required include being extremely organized and able to multi-

    task in a very dynamic environment with a safety conscious mindset.

    Some overtime hours may be required from time to time; based on operational demand.
