Job Summary
You are a skilled Carpenter with experience to support us on industrial oil & gas projects. You will be an integral part of the Ledcor team working on the CBR Cogen project.
This is a long term construction project that includes replacement of three coke fired boilers with two 400 MegaWatt cogen units.
The project is conveniently located right outside of Fort McMurray at Suncor Baseplant.

Essential Responsibilities :
Comprehend drawings to prepare layouts including selecting materials, planning sequences and methods of work, and measuring and marking materials to avoid costly mistakes or omissions
Understand industrial concrete forming and engineered forming systems to accurately build concrete forms
Check completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb, and the right size, shape, and location
Qualifications :
Have a Journeyperson Carpenter Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial carpentry trade.
Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
Successful candidates will require CSTS 2020, CSO or BSO
Work Conditions :
Project is located in the Fort McMurray AB.
Project commenced in July 2021; this is a role with long term potential
14 days on / 7 days off schedule, working 10 hours per day
Site based camp provided
Charter Flights from either Edmonton or Calgary
Must be fully vaccinated and provide valid COVID-19 vaccination record for air travel (unless you have a legitimate recognized medical or religious reason for not getting vaccinated), or agree to submit to testing requirements
Travel allowance for candidates who qualify
Driving to Fort McMurray is an option as there is camp parking available
