Are you an enthusiastic Quality Assurance Specialist with five (5) to ten (10) years of quality assurance manufacturing experience?

If so, this position is for you.

Our Edmonton based client, who is a trailblazer in the manufacturing and delivering of machined components in Canada, is currently looking to fill a full-time, permanent Quality Specialist position.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Development, implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems as per ISO 9001, API Q1 9th Edition
  • Development of new and updating of current policies and procedures
  • Conduct internal and external quality audits
  • Conduct root cause analysis, risk assessments and corrective actions
  • Provide leadership in investigation of all quality incidents and provide direction for corrective actions
  • Ensure all quality records are being maintained and updated on a regular basis
  • Administer and enforce quality programs and policies
  • Ensure incidents are addressed in a timely manner
  • Proactively seek quality improvement initiatives
  • Review, revise, and solicit input to the Quality Management System to continually improve effectiveness
  • Conduct presentations to our client and to their clients
  • Coordinate and train employees on quality awareness and education
  • Qualifications

  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of quality assurance manufacturing experience
  • Expertise and thorough understanding of ISO 9001, API Q1 9th Edition Quality Management System
  • Experience in a machine shop environment for the manufacture of products for Oil and Gas industry
  • Direct knowledge of QA / QC methodologies
  • Proven demonstrated ability to effectively engage people in a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of the NDE techniques
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Certified Six Sigma or Green Belt will be an asset
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A good team player and team leader
