    Job Description

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounting Manager based in our Vancouver office. Reporting to the Unit Finance Manager, you will be responsible for financial accounting, reporting and internal controls in a hands-on environment.

    Responsibilities include :

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations with expertise in accounts payable, payroll, government reporting / payment and general ledger reconciliations
  • Month end closings, quarterly and annual financial reporting
  • Cash management, budgeting and forecasting
  • Manage financial, internal controls, insurance and other audits
  • Research, interpret and implement new accounting regulations and tax rulings
  • Preparation of schedules required for yearly corporate tax filing.
  • Candidate Specification

  • 10+ years’ experience in a fast-paced accounting environment in a mid-size private company, preferably within an engineering firm
  • Understanding of Canadian Taxes
  • Good oral and written communications skills
  • Detailed oriented
  • Supervisory experience
  • Solid knowledge of computer applications and large integrated accounting system software
